Holidays for the over 50s – Holiday Destination Reviews
People in their 50s, 60s and 70s have become the fastest growing holiday market, according to research conducted by ABTA. The over-50s tend to have money to spend on exciting overseas trips, and are more likely than younger family members to have the time for several long holidays per year.
The over 50s have become increasingly adventurous with many silver surfers discovering skiing holidays, scuba diving and even mountaineering. Whilst beach holidays still hold a vast appeal for the over 50s with popular destinations include Florida, the Caribbean, southern Spain, Italy, Morocco and Tunisia. Many resorts now specifically cater for the over 50s market.
